Michael O’Meara is a writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His debut memoir, The Long Return, tells the story of his life as a grunt in the mountains of Vietnam. He was a Platoon Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Infantry in 1970, durning the height of the war.
